The study
Who took part
24 employees at a public university in Iran, chosen from 56 because they put work off a lot. They also scored low on work performance. Most were women, and there were 12 in each group.
What they did
One group had seven group sessions on accepting hard thoughts and feelings and acting on personal values. The other group got no sessions.
What happened
At the end, the sessions group put work off less, while the other group put work off a bit more. Work performance did not differ, and only the inefficiency part of putting work off improved. There was no later check, and the paper does not clearly say how people were put into groups.
