The study

  1. Who took part

69 children aged 7 to 11 with inattentive ADHD, mostly found through schools. Their average age was about 9, and 46 of them were boys.

  2. What they did

The program lasted 12 weeks and had three parts: teacher meetings, parent sessions, and a weekly skills group for children. The other children got usual treatment, or joined a waiting list in the first round.

  3. What happened

At the end, parents and teachers saw fewer attention problems in the program group, which fell by more than half. In the other group, problems fell by under 16 in 100, and the program group also got better at organising. Three to five months later, parents still saw fewer problems, but differences in daily life were no longer clear.
